ABOUT NUH'S ARK PAKA - MONTESSORI SCHOOL

As parents we take our children's education seriously and we want the best for them. As Muslims we want our children growth with Islamic values and at the same time we want them to be highly in touch with the growth and development of today's technology to take the challenge tomorrow. We share this view with thousands of other parents.

This is inspired us not only to provide for our children but also to extend the service to other parents by providing them with an Islamic Montessori kindergarden in our area and Nuh's Ark fits our requirement.

We were ventured into a franchised program offered by Nuh's Ark Sdn Bhd under the trademark of Nuhs Ark Islamic Montessori School known as Nuh's Ark Paka.

Nuh's Ark Paka offers a pre school program for children of age 2 1/2 to 7 years in a nurturing environment that is sensitive to the children's need while encouraging participation of the family. The atmosphere is positive, supportive and non-competitive.

Our future plan is to establish the kindergarden chain in other regions in the state of Terengganu and beyond.

Montessori's aim in education is to aid the spontaneous development of a child mentally, physically, socially and emotionally so that his potential and inborn qualities unfold and achieve a state of harmony between himself and his environment.

AIM

The primary aim of Islamic education is to produce a "Muttaqin" or one who is always conscious of his Creator. He is one who is aware of his duty towards his creator and fellow human beings.

Combining Montessori and Islam, our aim at Nuh's Ark Paka is therefore to lay a solid foundation for the development of a wholesome personality by instilling and inculcating strong moral and spiritual characters, balanced intellectual and physical acumen as well as refined qualities of etiquette and social interaction.

CONCEPT OF EDUCATION

Nuh's Ark Paka adopts a combination of Montessori Approach with Islamic Principles as the fundamental guideline, using English as the medium of instruction to achieve its aim.

Montessori + Islamic ( English ) = AIM

Firstly, Montessori is one of the proven methods of education that has been widely recognized and well adopted internationally.

The Islamic principles are integrated into our approach in educating children because it is a duty and a responsibility that has to be undertaken in order for the next generation to become good and well-worth citizens.

This is a perfect and ideal marriage because what Islam has comprehensively laid in Principles, Montessori filled up in details with no contradicting ideas.

English has been chosen as the medium of instruction because of its international and local status, that being a language of wide acceptance in trade, commerce, industry, arts and technology. Moreover, children at the age of three to six are at their most sensitive stage for language acquisition. Therefore, it is most appropriate for a child to learn a second language at this stage.
